Visit the complete comparison with the JXD Tracker here: H47 Elfie + is obviously the new drone on the block. With it's older brother the h37 being so popular, the guys from JJRC improved even more on it.

The biggest improvement is the camera, getting a 720p HD this time which is actually decent for the price.

It's still a cheap quadcopter with not a lot to offer, but I like it still.

There are 3 ways to pilot it:

1. Through the gravity sensor controller that comes with it.

2. Though the app on your phone while using the virtual sticks.

3. Phone app but using the phone Gsensors.

BEBOP 2 - Firmware 4.4.2 Review and Discussion

First off I do notice that the bebop's attitude in flight has become somewhat more controlled. I tested the entire video in sport mode, magic dronies, auto shots, cameraman and follow me.

The improvement in the stabilisation of the drone in flight and minimising the large corrections to micro adjustments keeps the drone in a more controlled attitude and this also affects the digital stabilisation improving and reducing the image crop (black boarders) so you should expect a much smoother image and lesser black boarders after the update. Although if your aircraft is subject to very strong wins and the attitude of the aircraft is over 25 degrees the black boarders produces by cropping from the image stabilisation will be expected.

As always please feel free to write your comments and your experience with this update so others can be made aware.

DJI Mavic Pro Review One Week Later - One of the Best Compact 4K Drone 2018

You can buy the Mavic Pro here At the time when I created this video the Mavic Air has not been announced or released yet so apologies for the late post – I will be doing a review of the Mavic Air soon! The Mavic Pro is still worth it though even in 2018!

So I’ve been using the Mavic Pro a lot and is now my go to camera drone now (sorry Phantom 3 Standard!). Here’s my hands on review!

Despite being one of the smallest and most portable drones you can buy in the market today, the DJI Mavic Pro offers good camera quality, flight range, and battery life that can be compared with drones that are twice its size.

Overall, the DJI Mavic Pro is a one of the best foldable drone for beginners (if you can afford it). The compact and small size gives it an edge over the bigger drones i.e. Phantom that are timely to set up and carry from one location to another.

In this video, Dennis Chua reviews the DJI Mavic Pro. After using The DJI Mavic Pro for more than a week, it is safe to say that this is DJI best selling drone! This drone is really powerful! It has a 4k video camera capabilities, good flight range and excellent battery life.

You can also fly it without the remote via your mobile phone and a wifi connection – I wouldn’t recommend it though if you are planning to fly long range as the wifi is only really good for short flight range.

The Mavic Pro camera is superb, it can do 4K video and can produce 12 megapixel picture quality. This is sufficient for beginners and novice alike, for professionals though they probably should stick to the bigger drones i.e. Inspire.

The foldable design of the drone makes it easier to carry it with you wherever you go – this is probably the biggest advantage which made it so popular to consumers! DJI already acknowledged that the Mavic Pro is the most popular and best-selling drone in their books.

It boasts a speed of 40 miles per hour, and you can enjoy clear and crisp live video stream even from a distance of 7 kilometers. Just remember that the drone has much smaller motors and rotors, so be careful when you try to push it to the limit.

The compact body design is a work of intelligence. There are four wings that can be neatly folded to the sides and the rotors can also be folded to make the device portable. You get the added benefit to keep the rotors on at all times without having to attach and detach them as with other serious camera drones. This drone is always ready to fly when you want to.

Whilst I’m not particularly a big fan of the remote (I prefer the big Phantom remote controllers!), this remote is a lot smaller and features a small LCD screen that enables you to fly the drone without using the app. You can see the altitude, distance and direction displayed on the screen. It also gives a warning message if the Mavic senses high winds commencing towards it, or when it gets a little too far away from home.

Phantom 5 MAJOR Leak - Camera system and low-noise props

New leaks by OsitaLV on Twitter, photographing the interchangeable lenses on the Phantom 5 or as he called "Phantom 4 Pro Version 2. This drone has taken a back burner to the smaller, more consumer based drones - the Mavic Pro and Mavic Air. Rumor is high that we should see an announcement by the end of summer regarding Phantom 5, but still very interesting to see the lens structure and how it will work on a smaller platform than Inspire series. One of my concerns are will this new Phantom 5 cost $2500-$3000 once you purchasing all the necessary lenses and a few extra batteries? It would be encroaching in the Inspire 2 price point, which might turn off some people, or cause some people to jump ship to the Inspire series drone. Either way, let me know your thoughts.

JJRC H47 Elfie Plus, the BETTER cheap selfie drone - review and range test

Overview:

The Elfie Plus arrives into a nice stylish carrying box that is both protective and compact. Finding a good and safe way to bring your drone has always been somewhat challenging. Well done JJRC!

Being offered at two colors - coffee and blue, it looks both stylish and solid. What attracts me most is the gravity remote controller - it brings the flying experience with the plus version on a different level compared to the original Jjrc Elfie. The on off switch has both beep indication and LED illumination. Powered by 2x AA batteries.

The drone is small, good looking, and well built. Materials are still rather cheap-feeling and Jjrcs goal here was to keep it lightweight. Unfolding the arms shows clear design improvement over the H37.. As for the camera - while it claims to be 2 megapixels, do not expect major difference over similar sized drones. You can correct the angle of shooting using a knob mechanism.

Next - the battery - excellent job. Likely the weakest point of the original Elfie. It gets now a complete redesign. Easy to take out. Designed with a custom connector. And spare batteries are at around 6 dollars per piece. The 500 mah will give you around 7 minutes of flight time with FPV on.

You get some spare parts - besides the props I was surprised to see these spare sponge wheels.

Preparing for the first flight it is good to know what the LED statuses mean. Flashing means you have to connect the transmitter. Steady LEDs mean you are ready for flight. and the rhythmic illuminations indicate when you are in headless mode. Should the battery go down - the LEDs will start to blink slowly.

Outdoors the Elfie plus continues to shine - it is more stable than the older model and the gyro-transmitter makes it so easy to control. You can of course use your smartphone instead of joystick, which will make you install the Jjrc fpv app. And although I've tried it on a few different phones, I was unable to make the gravity sensor control working.

Camera footage: having no microsd you have to record via the app.

I've made a range test with this drone. Because the FPV drops at some point I don't have a recording of the flight. Lost detailed control at about 50 meters. And it landed at exactly 76 meters away from me. Be careful with the range because even after losing connection the drone continued to fly. And you don't want another flyaway drone!
